For this year’s event, MBJ divided the private firms into four categories (as opposed to last year’s three). The new category, Extra Large, includes firms with a national presence and numerous offices throughout the company, regardless of where the firm is based or how many attorneys its Memphis office has. The Large category includes firms that are based in Memphis or Tennessee or that are regional but don’t have as many offices nationwide while the medium category includes locally based and focused firms with more than five attorneys. The small category covers local firms with one office and one or two attorneys.

The third annual Best of the Bar awards will be held Tuesday, March 27, at the Memphis Botanic Garden; networking, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres begin at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30 p.m.
